Sarah began dancing as a young student, finding a special love for ballet as she grew. She was raised in El Dorado Hills, studied under Georgina Coleman at Center Stage Dance Academy, and joined Ballet, Jazz, and Lyrical/ Contemporary companies there. As a high school student, she began teaching ballet, jazz, and lyrical to young students and teens at Center Stage and eventually became Assistant Ballet Company Director. She also joined Oak Ridge High School’s Dance Team and had the chance to compete nationally with the team her senior year. She studied at Folsom Lake College and joined Mosaic Performing Company while studying general education and dance.
Outside of her studies, she competed at DuPree Dance Competition, winning a diamond in the solo category and was a proud recipient of the Ballet scholarship. After graduating from FLC, she transferred to UC Davis where she continued her studies in Dance Composition and Modern dance, performing with the UC Davis Theater and Dance Department. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Art in English, emphasis in Professional Writing. Since graduating, she’s enjoyed continuing to share her love for ballet with her students and is excited to be joining the NCDC faculty!
