Robin Bartholomew began her training in the bay area at age five, studying ballet, tap, jazz, and acrobatics. She began her professional career by joining the San Francisco Ballet Company to study and perform. Robin spent six years performing with the San Jose Civic Light Opera and had the opportunity to perform with such stars as Michele Lee, Tyne Daly, Ken Berry, Ron Pallilo, Joanne Worley, and many more. Robin has trained with such artists as Brenda Bufalino, Sam Weber, Joe Tremaine, Maude Arnold, Carlos Jones, Tyler Warren, Anthony Lo Cascio, Charlie McGowan and many others. Robin has won numerous awards and scholarships throughout the state of California. She has also sat on a panel of judges for various competitions. In 1985, Robin joined the elite cheerleading squad for the San Francisco 49ers, “The Gold Rush”.
Robin spent many years as the Assistant Director for Placer Theatre Ballet and was the former Artistic Advisor on the PTB Board of Directors.
She has been teaching for the past 30 years, loves working with children, and has a deep passion for the art of dance. Robin’s students have won many awards and have furthered their careers in the professional dance world. This season will mark her 12th year with NCDC.
