Katie Post is excited to bring what she has learned from her 15 years of training from around the country to her students. Katie primarily trained at the Northern California Dance Conservatory as well as the School of the Sacramento Ballet, and enjoyed dancing in the Sacramento Ballet’s Nutcracker for 11 years. She has also had the opportunity to dance at summer intensives of various companies, including Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, The Washington Ballet and Manhattan Youth Ballet.  Some of her favorite opportunities she has had so far are getting to perform in a professional corps de ballet and choreograph on her fellow students. Katie has also had the privilege to learn hula from some of the best kumu hula (hula teachers) in Hawai’i; she hopes to continue dancing hula to rejoice in and perpetuate the beauty of the Hawaiian culture.

Having found a new passion for teaching in 2016 she completed the Northern California Dance Conservatory’s Dance Pedagogy Program and started working with young dancers in the classroom and private coaching sessions that same year.  Miss Post hopes that she can encourage young dancers to be their healthiest selves, which means keeping her classroom environment safe for body and mind while still helping her students achieve their goals and develop their artistry in a fun way.
