Elke began her pre-professional dance training in the Bay Area which led her to receive her BFA in Dance Performance from Chapman University, and her MFA in Dance & Choreography from UC Irvine. In between her studies, she worked and performed professionally for The S Agency in Los Angeles and the creator of Jeté, Tiffany Billings. Elke is also an award-winning contemporary modern choreographer and creator of The Fyber Vision; an artist/dance collective that has been commissioned to perform and open theaters throughout California.
For the past three years, Elke has been the Director of Aragon High School’s Dance Department where she created and built her own dance curriculum for the dance department, dance team, and school performances.
Elke’s passion for teaching modern, contemporary, choreography, jazz technique, and improvisation lies in educating dancers to become well-rounded and anatomically aware technicians in collaboration with the Language of Dance® Movement Notation methodology. She is so excited to be joining the NCDC faculty!
