Dereka has been dancing since high school. While Training in multiple styles they fell in love with many street styles such as hip hop, waacking, and jazz-funk. Training with multiple community affiliates such as Boogiemonstarz and press P.L.A.Y, gave them the confidence and tools to start their own dance company, Xposed Dance Co. Dereka has taught for many years at multiple local studios, guest choreographed for CSUS, is an NBA pro dancer, and producer of Sacramento’s longest running hip hop showcase, “Public Display,” which is in its 13th year. Dereka continues to train, learn, and grow with dance and will do so until it opens new doors for them.
