Alexis grew up in the bay area and started dancing in her local community when she was 4 years old. She is a recent graduate from Santa Clara University. Where she continued her training by obtaining a dance minor while completing a B.S. in Chemistry and earning membership in Sigma Xi, the Scientic Research Honors Society. While Alexis deeply enjoys the sciences, she has decided that dance is her true calling. For Alexis, the ability to make art is one of the most fullling things about being a human; it is a way of being, a means of communication, and an avenue to impact and brighten the lives of everyone around her. Dance allows Alexis to confront and process dicult things, allows her to share emotions and experiences, and allows her to engage with and entertain others.

Alexis has trained in many styles including tap, jazz, contemporary and acrobatics but hiphop has always held a special place in her heart. Her role as co-director for Santa Clara University’s collegiate hiphop dance team allowed Alexis to further her exploration and understanding of various hiphop styles and techniques as well as bring those inuences into her own choreography.
