Pre-Professional Ambassadors
The Pre-Professional Training Program of NCDC is designed to prepare the advanced level dancer for a professional performing career. The Artistic Directors have created a new, unprecedented curriculum that includes rigorous classical ballet base supplemented with either modern or additional ballet and pointe. The program allows dancers the flexibility to customize their training schedule to meet their individual needs and goals. We work with each dancer to help them determine the right path for them.
In addition to an unparalleled level of training, the new 2010/2011 curriculum offers the performance experiences and training needed to get an edge over the competition. The Pre-Professional Training Program will also include special workshops and classes in nutrition and health, dance history, dance careers, dance at the collegiate level as well as parent classes (educating parents on the dance world and as dance as a career, etc.) The dancers in this division also have the opportunity for international and national travel for training and performance.

Program Requirements

Attendance Policy
Members of the Pre-Professional division are expected to take all of their required classes each week. At this level, regular attendance is crucial in order to develop and maintain the required strength and skills to safeguard against injury as the technique becomes increasingly more difficult. Absences will affect a student’s individual progress as well as the progress of the other dancers in the division. Un excused absences are not permitted and will result in the removal from choreography.

News & Notes

Costumes
We have an amazing costume mistress that does everything she can to find quality costumes for good prices. Ambassadors utilize a rental system for the majority of their costuming. This allows the parents the benefit of not having to buy several different costumes that dancers will only wear for one year.

Dancers will be charged a set rental fee for their costumes. More information to follow.

Any questions or comments regarding the division should be emailed to director@ncdc.com
