Becca
Becca has been dancing since she was five and has discovered a true passion for it.
She started out doing gymnastics and made it up to level six when she decided that
dance was the route she wanted to take. She began with ballet at a young age followed
by jazz and tap. As she moved further into the dance world, she discovered her passion
for modern/contemporary dance, a style which was introduced to her first by Jen Bradford
and holds true to be her favorite to this day. She has participated in many different
styles of dance including African, world dance, hip hop, musical theatre and more. She
believes peace is found through the arts, and dancing is the way to achieve this. It has
the power to express any given emotion and portray any kind of feeling. She has been
dancing her whole life and plans to continue with dance wherever it takes her. |

Maggie
I am 15 years old. I have been dancing for about 12 years now. I have received training
in classical ballet, jazz, tap, pointe, and modern/contemporary. My favorite form of
dance at the moment is classical ballet, because I enjoy the precision and structure of
it. I first began dancing after watching a few of my brother's tap lessons. I wanted to be
just like him, and on top of that, I got to make a lot of noise. I don't know where I would
be if he hadn't exposed me to dance. Dancing is my life, my passion, my world. I love to
dance, and I plan to involve it in my career and the rest of my life |

for my family and friends who support my goals as a dancer. Although I know my life will
be full of experiences that may change its course, I am sure that dance will always be
included wherever life my lead me. |

increase over the years and bringing joy to people's lives when you perform for them.
Those two things are what make me really appreciate these teachers and the sacrifice
my family is willing to make so I can dance." -Sarah |
