Breanna
I am a 14 year old freshman in high school. Since my first dance class in 2002, I have
been training in many different styles. My current focus at NCDC is ballet and modern. I
could not imagine my life without dance, it is my heart and soul. I believe that dance is a
physical art and in the words of Martha Graham "The body says what words cannot." |

to love dancing to this day. Before studying with NCDC, she trained at the Conservatory
of Dance and Performing Arts in Rocklin. In addition to Chloe’s dance training she was a

most recent role was dancing as Alice, in Alice in Wonderland. “My favorite part of dancing
is the applause I receive after I have performed a piece that I have been working on
for months”. This is Chloe’s first year as an Apprentice, and she is looking forward to all

Jenny
Jenny has been dancing ballet since she was four years old and has always loved it
more than anything else in the universe and beyond. She has performed in various
ballets and a few musical theater productions. Her favorite part of ballet is performing -
when she is on stage she forgets about everything else and feels like she is the entity of
the character she is portraying for the audience. Besides ballet, Jenny loves school and
hopes to continue learning about all the wonders of the world, especially physics. She
hopes to attend a great university double-majoring in dance and physics, then hopefully
enter an outstanding ballet company and rise to be the best dancer that she could ever
possibly be. |

Jessica
Jessica is beginning her second year at NCDC and is looking forward to a great year.
Before arriving at NCDC, Jessie was a member of three pre-professional dance companies.
One of her most special performance opportunities came when she danced in the
NYC production, "Tappy Holidays" with the Sound Out Tap Co. Jessie fell in love with
NYC and hopes to live there someday. She enjoys all styles of dance, especially modern/
contemporary. "I love the discipline dance offers me while allowing me the freedom
to express myself. I am very lucky to have an uber-supportive family who encourages
me to follow my dreams. When I am not dancing I enjoy shopping, photography and
hanging with my family and friends....and good food!" |
